Wilbur M. Davis, Jr., DDS, MS

Wibur M. Davis, Jr, DDS, MS

Dr. Davis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, for which he also served as an examiner. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Davis received his undergraduate, DDS and MS degrees from Emory University and then served his internship at the University of Pennsylvania and completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Later, he served as an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Davis is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. He is past president of the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando, and past chairman of the Commission on Professional Conduct of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Davis serves as a consultant to the Children’s Medical Services Cleft palate Clinic.

Andrew U. Buchs, DMD Dr. Buchs is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He received his BA degree from Colgate University and his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, and then completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Buchs is a nationally recognized leader and lecturer in the field of implants. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Implantology, a Diplomate of the American Society of Osseointegration, and a member of the Academy of Osseointegration and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also a past member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and past president of the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.

 

Michael J. Langan, DMD, MS

Michael J. Langan, DMD Dr. Langan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He received his BS degree from the University of Nevada, his MS from Oregon State University, and his DMD from the University of Oregon Dental School. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia, and then completed fellowships in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Emory University and Oregon Health Science University. Dr. Langan is an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida. He has served as President of the Greater Orlando Dental Society and the Central Florida District Dental Society. He is vice president of the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of The American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists and The Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Daniel J. Crofton, MD, DDS Dr. Crofton is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He received his BA degree in biology from Hamilton College, his DDS degree from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, his MD degree from the State university of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse and he completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Crofton also completed a general surgery internship and a residency in general dentistry. He is a member of the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Lake County Dental Society. Dr. Crofton is a Clinical Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida.

Dr. Wenk is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He received his BS degree from the University of Richmond, his DDS degree from the Medical College of Virginia, an MD degree from the University of Florida and he completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Florida. Dr. Wenk also completed a general surgery internship at the University of Florida. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a Fellow in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. In addition, Dr. Wenk serves as a consultant to the Children’s Medical Services Cleft Palate Clinic.

 

Brian D. Fuselier, DDS

Brian D. Fuselier, DDS

Brian D. Fuselier, DDS Dr. Fuselier obtained his BS degree for McNeese State University and his DDS degree from Louisiana State University. He completed a two-year fellowship at the University of Florida in Craniofacial Pain, and afterwards was selected to be the Oral Diagnostician at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he evaluated and treated patients from throughout the world. Dr. Fuselier has given multiple presentations throughout the nation on such topics as Taxonomy of Head Pain, Craniomandibular Evaluation and Treatment, and the Biochemistry of Head and Neck Pain. Dr. Fuselier is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the American Pain Society. He is presently on staff as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Parker Mahan Facial Pain Center at the University of Florida, College of Dentistry.

 

Barry A. Loughner, DDS, MS, PhD

Barry A. Loughner, DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Loughner obtained his BS degree in Biochemistry from Pennsylvania State University, and his DDS degree from New York University. He completed his three-year Face Pain Fellowship at the Parker Mahan Facial Pain Center at the University of Florida, and stayed on at UF, completing a MS in anatomy and a PhD in Neurophysiology. Dr. Loughner practiced at the Midwest Center for Head Pain Management at Stouder Memorial Hospital in Tory, Ohio for seven years. He has published numerous articles on face pain and headaches, and is a frequent lecturer in that field. Dr. Loughner also teaches a head and neck anatomy course that is well known nationally. He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, the American Pain Society, the American Dental Association, and the Ethics Committee of the American Association for the Study of Headache.

 

Ramon L. Ruiz D.M.D., M.D.

Dr. Ruiz is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and fellowship qualified in Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery.  Dr. Ruiz graduated with honors from Florida State University before earning both dental (DMD) and medical (MD) degrees from the University of Alabama and University of North Carolina respectively.  He went on to complete General Surgery internship and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Following his surgical residency, Dr. Ruiz completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery and Georgetown University Medical Center.  Dr. Ruiz holds several university appointments where he trains students and young surgeons.  He has published numerous scientific articles,  contributed to more than 15 surgical textbooks, and is a frequently invited lecturer on a national and international level.  In addition, Dr. Ruiz serves as the Director of Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery and the Craniofacial Disorders Program at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

 

 

All seven doctors are members of the American Dental Association, Central District Dental Society, Florida Dental Association, and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.
